WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
I have done photography ever since junior high and bought my first Canon camera with babysitting money, which I was proud of. I took pictures of everything - people, nature, animals, etc. Sometimes I would spend my afternoon taking pictures around my yard.
Over time, I gained experience taking photos for family and friends. I love the art of photography, how it captures beautiful moments to be cherished for a lifetime. I love the intentionality behind my photos and sharing them with others.

Behind From the Ashes
From the Ashes Photography is based on Isaiah 61:3, "He makes beauty out of ashes." There is something so special about how a photograph can capture such a beautiful moment; it turns the ashes into new life.
We are dust and to dust we shall return. We are made of millions of ashes, and photography captures that in the millions of pixels found in a single photo. The art of photography takes a moment, one that will never happen again, and cherishes it forever.
I desire to capture this meaning by photographing children as they receive the Sacraments of the Catholic Church. These milestones perfectly embody what it means to be born again, to rise from the ashes into new life.
I also desire to photograph ordinary life and other important milestones, as they illustrate the Lord's beauty and power in a radical way.
